Welcome back!!!

Hello! I am Mellissa Henry. I teach 7th advanced math, 8th grade math, and 8th grade Algebra 1 at WOMS.   My husband (Justin) and I have four children ages 12, 15, 17 and 19.  Things I enjoy: reading, spending time with my family and friends, Dove chocolate, Texas Roadhouse,  and teaching, of course!!!

I attended Jacksonville College and Stephen F. Austin State University.  I hold two degrees from Stephen F. Austin State University: Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies (specialization in mathematics) and a Masters in School Mathematics Teaching.  It has always been my desire to teach at the secondary level.  I taught 6th through 8th grade math and Pre-Algebra at White Oak Middle School for 6 years from August of 2001 through May of 2007, and rejoined the White Oak Middle School faculty in August of 2011, as a Pre-Algebra and Algebra teacher.

It is an honor to serve in the White Oak community. I also consider it an honor to be a part of your child’s education. I commit to invest nothing but the BEST in your child’s education.   I look forward to each day that I will share with your child this year.
